STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens hockey team knocked off Lawrence 7-1 on Friday in Appleton.
The Pointers fired a team record 69 shots on goal in the win. Nicole Neuberger had 13 shots on goal herself.
Seven different players scored for the Pointers. Pointer goals went to Neuberger, Annika Horman, Katie Stanius, Courtney Leising, Sara Aadalen, Gina Magro & Ali Granovsky.
Olivia Schultz had 14 saves in the win.
The Pointers, now 5-7, will play this afternoon (Jan 1) at Ice Hawks Arena.
The UWSP mens baketball game with Benedictine scheduled for today as been cancelled. The impending winter storm in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois will not allow Benedictine to travel to Stevens Point.
The Pointers return to action on Wednesday at River Falls.
