MADISON, WI (WRN) – The State Supreme Court today will release a decision on the use of absentee drop boxes and delivering ballots.
Justices heard arguments earlier this year on a Waukesha County case that challenged the use of those drop boxes, and who is allowed to handle and transport absentee ballots.
Supporters of former President Donald Trump have called the drop boxes illegal and say allowing other people to help get ballots to the clerks’ office is “Ballot Harvesting.”
Those drop boxes went into place during the height of the pandemic when a vaccine for COVID-19 was still not available, at the guidance of the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
