SANTA CLARA, CA (WSAU) The 49ers continued their stellar start to the season with a 30-12 throttling of the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football at Levi’s Stadium.
Brock Purdy completed 25-of-37 passes for 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns as San Francisco improved to 3-and-0. Christian McCaffery accounted for 119 all-purpose yards and a touchdown, while Deebo Samuel nabbed six receptions for 129 yards and a score in the 49ers’ 13th straight regular season victory.
Nick Bosa collected one sack for the NFC West-leading Niners in the win.
Giants’ QB Daniel Jones threw for 137 yards and an interception in the disappointing performance for NFC East squad. New York was limited to just 29 rushing yards with star running back Saquon Barkley out for the game due to injury. The Giants fell to 1-and-2.
