BEIJING (Reuters) – China Foreign Minister Wang Yi met his Bolivian counterpart Celinda Sosa at the United Nations on Tuesday, according to a statement from his ministry, and said China was willing to “continuously elevate the China-Bolivia strategic partnership”.
China’s top diplomat told Sosa the world’s second-largest economy would “always be a trustworthy friend and partner of Latin America”, the statement said, adding that “Latin America belongs to its people and is not any country’s ‘backyard’.”
