MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers scored five runs in the first inning and were never challenged in a 9-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night at American Family Field.
In his first at-bat as a Brewer Andrew Vaughn launched a three-run homer in the first inning. Vaughn had been acquired from the White Sox on June 13th in exchange for pitcher Aaron Civale.
Christian Yelich also had a homer run, his 18th of the year, in the 7th inning. Brice Turang had two RBIs and Andrew Monasterio had one.
Freddy Peralta pitched six scoreless innings giving up five hits with seven Ks and one walk.
The Brewers will host LA again tonight…pre game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
