
Milwaukee Brewers
CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) — The Chicago Cubs dumped the Milwaukee Brewers twice on Tuesday, 6-4 and 4-1 at Wrigley Field. Milwaukee has now dropped three out of the last four games after winning 14 games in a row.
In game one, the Brewers fell behind 5-0 before pulling to within one in the 6th. That was as close as they got. Chad Patrick started and gave up five runs (3 earned) in five innings. Christian Yelich hit his 26th home run. Sal Frelick drove in gtwo runs and Brice Turang had an RBI.
In game two Milwaukee managed only one run against Cub starter Jameson Tallion. Andrew Vaughn had the RBI. Brandon Woodruff started for the Brewers and lasted 4 1/3 innings giving up three runs on five hits with 6 Ks and three walks.
Chicago has pulled to within seven games of the Central Division leading Brewers. Milwaukee is now 79-47 and will play at Chicago again tonight…pre-game show at 6:30 on WSAU
