MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The San Francisco Giants beat the Milwaukee Brewers both Saturday and Sunday to take two of three games in the weekend series at American Family Field.
On Saturday two costly errors cost Milwaukee as Grant Anderson gave up three unearned runs in the 6th. Carlos Rodriguez struggled in his return to the majors as he allowed four earned runs in three innings of relief. Freddy Peralta started and pitched five scoreless innings. Caleb Durbin had the only Brewers RBI.
On Sunday, the team celebrated the life of long-time Brewers announcer Bob Uecker in a touching pre-game celebration. They then went out and dropped a tough game 4-3 with Trevor Megill suffering a rare blown save allowing two earned runs in the 9th inning. Durbin had a solo home run and Christian Yelich and Brandon Lockridge also had RBIs.
The Brewers fall to 81-50 and welcome in the Arizona Diamondbacks for four games staring tonight…pre-game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
