
ARLINGTON, TX (WSAU) — The Texas Rangers knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers for the second straight night with a 5-4 win on Tuesday.
Chad Patrick started for Milwaukee and gave up three runs in 4 1/3 innings. Alan Ashby gave up two runs which gave Texas the lead in the fifth.
Jake Bauers hit a home run in the 9th that pulled Milwaukee within one run but that was as close as they got. William Contreras drove in two runs and Christian Yelich one.
Former Brewer Hoby Milner picked up the win in relief for the Rangers.
With a Chicago win, the Brewers now lead the Cubs by 6 1/2 games in the Central Division. They will finish their series in Texas this afternoon…pre game show at 1pm on WSAU.
