WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The United Way of Marathon County Emerging Leaders program is offering a unique grant opportunity for local teachers, coaches, students, and non-profits that serve students.
The $500 grants are designed to fund projects for a classroom, club, team, or a group of students associated with the school district. Applications should demonstrate how the project will “spark and sustain student leaders to improve the community and themselves.”
Applications can be submitted by teachers, school leaders, or the students themselves. Non-profits associated with a school can also submit, but the funds must benefit a 7th – 12th-grade classroom, club, team, or a group of students associated with the school district/organization.
Applications are due by September 26th. Winning applicants will be contacted in early November, and funds will be distributed by the end of the year. For more information and to apply, click here.
