WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Thursday was the last night for the Wausau Night Market, a series that is hosted in June, July, and August.
Over 70 local vendors filled 3rd Street in Downtown Wausau, offering a variety of goods from handcrafted items and fresh produce to street food and artwork.
Live music was the soundtrack for shoppers while walking around, and shops and restaurants kept their doors open late, allowing people to explore what the River District has to offer.
“We are trying to activate downtown with a little bit of something for everybody, and on a week night, so kind of bringing vibrancy where there may not have been,” said Callie Wulk, Executive Director of Wausau River District. “We are really glad to see that the event is gaining traction and getting bigger year over year.”
Wulk estimated about 2,000-2,500 people were in attendance each night.
