SHAWANO, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Shawano man has been sentenced to prison time for counts related to reckless homicide by delivery of drugs.
Lee E. Lindner will serve 30 years in prison, followed by 17 years of extended supervision, after he pleaded guilty to multiple fentanyl-related reckless homicide and drug trafficking charges, announced Attorney General Josh Kaul.
Lindner was involved in distributing over 100 grams of fentanyl and large quantities of methamphetamine in Shawano County. His actions from July 2019 to June 2023 led to two overdose deaths in 2023.
“Those who distribute dangerous narcotics put the safety and well-being of others in jeopardy and, as this sentence shows, can face serious consequences,” said Attorney General Josh Kaul in a press release.
The investigation was conducted by the Wisconsin DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation, Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, and several federal agencies.
