RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) — While no one has hit the Powerball jackpot in months, one ticket sold in Central Wisconsin did hit the game’s third prize on Monday.
Lottery officials say a ticket sold at Lamb’s Fresh Market matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, which is good for $50,000. It was one of six tickets to claim the five-figure prize. A seventh was also sold, but that player also purchased the Power Play multiplier, making their ticket worth $150,000
Other third-prize winning tickets were sold in Superior, Fitchburg, Peshtigo, and New Berlin. The $150,000 ticket was sold in Paddock Lake.
Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes, meaning Monday’s winners will have until the end of February to get their winnings. Lamb’s will receive a $1,000 bounty for selling the winning ticket.
It’s been 41 drawings since the last Powerball jackpot win, which came in California on May 31st.
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday evening. Tickets must be purchased by 9 PM to be included in that night’s drawing.
