WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — It appears that last week’s death investigations in Wisconsin Rapids are not related.
Over the weekend, officers released the names of the two deceased men and one suspect. The first incident involved a 34-year-old male, identified as Antoni R. Quinones of Wisconsin Rapids, who was dropped off at the Aspirus Hospital emergency room on October 30th with life-threatening injuries. He died while receiving treatment.
Investigators believe he was injured earlier in the day before he was taken to the hospital by another person. Officers haven’t disclosed the nature of his injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with that incident as of Monday morning.
The second incident involved a disturbance in a home on 11th Street South, where they found 56-year-old Randall Harris Sr. suffering from multiple life-threatening injuries. He died at the scene.
His son, 34-year-old Randall Harris Jr., was taken into custody without incident. He is being held in the Wood County Jail on pending charges related to the death of his father.
Autopsies will be conducted later today on both Quinones and Harris Sr. Officers add that they have no evidence linking their deaths, and the incidents are being investigated separately.
Additional information will be released after the autopsies are complete.
