MILWAUKEE, WI – The Milwaukee Brewers have designated star outfielder Christian Yelich to return from the IL for this week’s series against the San Diego Padres.
According to a post on X from the team, Yelich will replace former top prospect Tyler Black, who is being optioned back to AAA Nashville after a .333 batting average, 0 home runs, and 7 RBIs in nine games with the Brewers this season.
Yelich, who will bat third on Tuesday night against San Diego after missing the last month due to an adductor strain injury, is off to a strong start this season, hitting.314 with a.375 on-base percentage, one homer, ten RBIs, and three steals in 15 games.
