GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers officially announced nearly a dozen promotions on Tuesday as the team’s front office continues to adjust under new CEO Ed Policy.
According to a press release from GM Brian Gutekunst’s office, the organization has named Milt Hendrickson, the former director of football operations, as vice president of player personnel. Hendrickson has been in the NFL for nearly 20 years, the last eight with Green Bay. He began his career with the Packers as a training camp intern in 2004. Hendrickson also spent more than a decade with the Baltimore Ravens in a variety of roles, including being designated national scout following the 2016 NFL Draft.
Other notable internal promotions include John Wojciechowski, who was named director of football operations after many years as a scout throughout the league; Richmond Williams, named director of player personnel; Lee Gissendaner, named director of pro scouting; and Matt Malaspina, named a senior player personnel executive.
Gutekunst praised his scouting department’s work ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, stating that the players they took, “are going to be really good additions to our locker room and our football team.” When asked about the decision to draft cornerback Brandon Cisse 52nd overall, Gutekunst stated, “He’s one of the few guys that can play off man, can play press. His suddenness through transition is something that stood out to us. He’s very young; we think his best football is ahead of him. We think he’s got so much left in the tank, not only as a player but physically as well. He’ll get bigger and stronger…really like the fact that he took the step and went to South Carolina last year, better competition, and really showed well this past year.”
The Packers’ new look front office will get its first look at its 2026 rookie class when organized team activities (OTAs) take place during the weeks of May 26, June 1, and June 15.
