Stevens Point Fire Dept. to Hold Live Fire Training

STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The Stevens Point Fire Department will conduct live fire training on Tuesday.

Firefighters will be burning a donated structure at 3100 Whiting Avenue from 8 AM to Noon on Tuesday, according to a news release from the department. Drills will focus on fire behavior, fire suppression, search and rescue, incident management, and communication.

Large amounts of smoke will likely be visible from the area during the training.

Department leaders add that they would like to thank the neighbors in that area for their support during the exercise.
