CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) – The Brewers evened their series with the Cubs with a 9-4 win Tuesday night. Milwaukee is back up by 8 games in the NL Central with less than a month remaining in the regular season.
Christian Yelich put the Brewers ahead for good with a 3-run home run in the 6th. Joey Ortiz added a 2-run blast in the 8th.
The Brewers pounded out 13 hits. The first three batters in the Brewers’ line-up, Jackson Churion, Brice Turang and William Contreras, were a combined 6-for-14 with 4 runs scored.
Antonio Senzatela (10-4) pitched an inning and got his first win as a Brewer.
Jacob Misiorowski (14-5) pitches for the Brewers tonight. Game coverage is at 6:05pm on WSAU.
