Lyndon Hood
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of killing Jeanette Pientka in her Portage County home in July will have his preliminary hearing this afternoon.
Lyndon Hood is scheduled to appear in court at 1:45 PM for one count of first-degree intentional homicide. Investigators say he stabbed Pientka multiple times at her home in the Town of Carson, then fled the scene.
The 57-year-old was found unresponsive by a visitor some time later. They called for help and attempted life-saving measures, but she died at the scene.
Court documents say Hood and his girlfriend, Sara Pientka, had just been evicted from their home. Sara, Jeanette’s sister, has already been sentenced for her role in the case. She’s serving jail time for failing to report the crime and withholding information from investigators.
