MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers completed their regular season with a league-best 103 wins. They beat the Cardinals, 6-4.
The team ended the season on a 5-game winning streak. They’re off until Saturday, when they’ll host either the Cubs or the Padres in the divisional round of the playoffs.
On Sunday Jacob Misiorowski added 5 more strikeouts to his league-leading total, and lowered his earned run average to 1.80.
Milwaukee took an early lead with 3 runs in the 1st inning. Jackson Churio, Brice Turang, and Christian Yelich each had RBI singles.
The Cardinals finished the season with a 77-85 record, one loss worse than last season. St. Louis has missed the playoffs for the last four years.
