PITTSBURGH, PA (WSAU) – The Packers, who did not have a 1st round pick in this year’s NFL draft, focused on defense with their available choices. Their 1st round pick was traded to the Cowboys last year as part of the Micah Parsons deal.
The Packers top pick in the 2nd round was Brandon Cisse, a defensive back from South Carolina. He was considered one of the top cornerbacks in the draft.
In the 3rd round the Packers picked 310-pound defensive lineman Chris McClellan. He’s considered a possibility at nose tackle next season.
Other picks from the Packers:
Dani Dennis-Sutton, an edge rusher from Penn State.
Jager Burton, an offensive lineman from Kentucky.
Domani Jackson, a defensive back from Alabama.
And Trey Smack, a kicker from Florida.
