Timothy Anker
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The man suspected of killing Thomas Anker is now being held on a $300,000 bond.
Timothy Anker made a court appearance on Wednesday, one day later than initially scheduled. During the hearing, he waived his right to a reading of the complaint and time limits for a preliminary hearing.
A judge then set several conditions for his bond, including a full no-contact order with his family and absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol. Should he post the cash, he would also need to surrender his passport to the Sheriff’s Office and may not leave the state of Wisconsin without prior approval.
The 58-year-old was initially held on a $75,000 cash bond in the days following his arrest.
Timothy Anker was arrested after first responders were called to the scene of a stabbing early Sunday morning. They noted that the incident was isolated, calling it an act of “domestic violence” between the brothers.
No further information was released, including a possible motive.
Further court action is scheduled for May 6th. Anker faces a mandatory life sentence if he’s found guilty at trial.
