STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The City of Stevens Point has announced additional music entertainment and events for Riverfront Rendezvous.
Another musical entertainment stage has been added thanks to a $30,000 donation from the Seramur Family Foundation. That will be called the Downtown Stage and will feature groups such as Dig Deep, Sister Sadie, Spicy Tie, Pat McCurdy, and more.
A lighted drone show has been added to Saturday’s lineup. Sunday will feature the fireworks display, which has also been beefed up in honor of America’s 250th birthday.
“There’s a lot to be excited about this year but I’m most excited about the drone light show”, said Mayor Mike Wiza in a press release. “Not only will it be the first in central Wisconsin and cool as heck, but it also offers an alternative to the loud fireworks display. It’s small, but it provides something we haven’t seen before here.”
Previously announced headliners include The BoDeans on July 3rd. On July 4th, party band Too Hype Crew will take the mainstage, bringing covers from the 80s to the early 2000s. Phat Phunktion, a nine-piece band featuring drums, percussion, guitars, and brass elements, will close the event on July 5th.
Riverfront Rendezvous is a free event hosted by the City of Stevens Point and made possible through sponsors and vendors. Carry-in coolers are not allowed on the grounds. More information and the complete line-up can be found at www.riverfrontrendezvous.com.
