Timothy Mischock
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man has pleaded guilty to a 6th OWI.
Timothy Mischock entered the plea on Thursday, more than two years after he was arrested on the charge. A judge then ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for August 7th.
Mischock was pulled over on New Year’s Eve in 2024 after an officer observed him swerving in and out of his lane. The 47-year-old refused a field sobriety test, officers then arrested him on probable cause and ordered a blood test.
The officer also noted that Mischock did not immediately pull over after they activated their lights and siren. He was also swaying and struggling to stand upright while talking with officers.
He now faces a mandatory prison sentence of up to 10 years plus thousands in fines. He was initially held on a $10,000 cash bond following the incident, but was released on a reduced $6,000 bond after about five months.
Court records show his previous convictions date back to 2014, when he was sentenced to six months in jail for his 5th OWI. His third and fourth charges came in 2007 and 2009. Both landed him in jail for 90 days.
