MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – As the Milwaukee Bucks continue to retool their roster, the team is expected to re-sign one of their most promising young players to a new deal.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports that the Milwaukee Bucks have withdrawn their qualifying offer for Ousmane Dieng, 23, which would have paid him $9.6 million for the 2026-2027 season, according to Salary Swish.
Dieng, who was acquired by the Bucks from the Oklahoma City Thunder at the trade deadline in a three-team trade last season, played in 30 games for Milwaukee, starting 20 of them, averaging 26.8 MPG, 11.0 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 3.6 APG, shooting 42.3% from the field and 33.1% from outside the arc.
Dieng will be an unrestricted free agent when he hits the open market next month. However, the Bucks hold his bird rights and are reportedly interested in signing him to a long-term deal, so a return to Milwaukee is still expected.
