WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has provided new data involving dozens of recent arrests of illegal immigrants with criminal records in Wisconsin.
According to a press release from the agency, ICE conducted targeted operations throughout the state, resulting in 39 arrests of individuals in the U.S. illegally, many of whom have criminal histories that include sexual assault, DUIs, police obstruction, domestic abuse, property damage, dangerous drug possession, and other serious crimes.
All suspects arrested in the raids are entitled to due process and are held in federal custody pending their removal.
“Being in detention is a choice. We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App. The United States is offering illegal aliens $2,600 and a free flight to self-deport now.” The release states.
According to data, ICE arrests in Wisconsin increased by 200% during the last 13 months of the Biden administration by early 2026 and by 22% between January and July of 2025 compared to the previous year.
