Paul Skenes won his 2nd consecutive start after being no-decisioned in his prior 9 appearances. Jacob Miriorowski was scheduled to start for the Brewers. He was scratched because of arm fatigue.
The Pirates took control of the game with a 10-run 4th inning. Robert Gasser was charged with 7-runs and 8-hits in three innings of work.
The Brewers resume play on Friday, hosting the Miami Marlins.
