STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The Portage County Sheriff’s Office has two people in custody in connection with the death of a 57-year-old woman in the Town of Carson.
Jeanette Pientka was found dead on Tuesday at a home on County Road M. Officers were called to the address for a report of someone with severe, traumatic injuries. She died at the scene.
Sheriff Mike Lukas says two people have been arrested in connection with the incident. They will be identified later this afternoon.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Portage County Sheriff’s Office. More information, including potential charges against the suspects, is expected to be released after a bond hearing.
