MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers closer has been named the NL Reliever of the Month for August.
According to a post on X from the MLB, Trevor Megill has won the honor after pitching 12 innings, striking out seven, allowing no runs, and recording eight saves.
Megill, 32, has pitched well for the Brewers all season, recording 25 saves and a 2.19 ERA. He is the first Brewer to win the NL Reliever of the Month since Devin Williams won it for July 2023.
The AL Reliever of the Month for August is former Brewer and now Houston Astros closer Josh Hader, after pitching 14.1 innings, striking out 15, allowing no runs, and recording seven saves.
