MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WSAU) – The number-1 ranked Badgers skated to a 1-1 tie against Minnesota, and won the shootout that followed, 1-0.
Bruno Idzan scored the only goal in the shootout.
After a scoreless first period, Minnesota scored first on a 5-minute major power play. The Badgers tied the game on an even-strength goal by Zach Wooten.
Neither team scored in the 3rd period or in the overtime session.
The Badgers are 6-0-1, and continue their series againt Minnesota on Saturday night at 7pm.
